Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The six questions—gender, birth date, general health status, tobacco use, desired coverage amount and term length—give carriers enough information to quote rates. We only collect your name and detailed health records if you decide to proceed with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They are current rates quoted by each carrier for the health category you selected. Your final rate is set by the carrier's underwriting, which may confirm, improve, or change your category. This site displays estimates for comparison only and is not an offer of insurance or a guarantee of any price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You proceed into the carriers' secure application system with your answers already filled in. You can pause and come back later, and all signatures are electronic. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages the application process.

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on your carrier choice, coverage amount, and answers to health questions. Many carriers now offer rapid underwriting that does not require a medical exam for qualifying applicants; each quote here indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that specific product.

Is a longer term better?

A term should cover the years when your family would suffer financially if your income stopped: paying off a mortgage, raising children, repaying a business loan. Longer terms cost more per month but hold your rate steady for more years. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year options side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote form does not ask for your contact information, we do not sell or share visitor information, and our site measurement does not use tracking cookies. See the privacy page for a complete list of what data is collected and which parties collect it.
